How I Met Your Mother takes one deeply into New York City neighborhoods. The constant is the bar and the apartment. The crowded living spaces of NYC are a fixed feature of the show. The viewer also is constantly in the bar scene and the variety of big city types found there. Some work spaces for architects and others are also presented.
